Australia’s Homegrown Explorer

We've had some pretty wild weather lately and travelling home through some heavy downpours, we decided to take time out in the town of Yass in southern NSW. It was a great opportunity to seek out a story. We headed first to the Tourist Centre, had a bit of a walk around town and then hunkered down in the local library for a while. Here's the story we discovered.

Great Story mate... he should definitely be taught in school curriculum vitae as being not only an explorer but a man of all men no matter creed or colour

Thanks for researching and sharing a great story ( wonderfully told) about a real pioneer. A go getter, a seemingly decent man who achieved a lot . You and your stories are much appreciated. Thanks Paul .

Thanks Paul,
Stewart managed the Hume and Hovell walking track in 1988 for Australia’s bicentenary. We lived and breathed these two explorers for a couple of years.
Of course he was a way a lot on the track as it evolved.
I promise myself I will walk some of it one day. It starts in Yass and goes as far as Albury.
